How do these prices compare with the 2026 market?

As of October 2026, AmericaProxies lists $0.75/GB at 50 GB, while Proxyway's 2026 market research puts the median residential price at $3.00 per GB for that volume. Proxyway also found that only 5 of the 13 providers it studied offered ZIP targeting, while all 13 offered city targeting.

Targeting fees change the real price. DataImpulse lists $1 per GB and $0.8 per GB above 1 TB, with state, city, ZIP and ASN targeting "offered for a small extra fee". SOAX includes ZIP and ASN targeting only on its Scale plan ($1,500 per month + VAT) and Enterprise plan ($3,000 per month + VAT). All figures were checked on 2026-10-05.

How do US residential proxies from AmericaProxies work?

A residential proxy sends your request through an IP address that an internet provider assigned to a home connection. With AmericaProxies, a no-KYC US residential and mobile proxy provider, setup takes five steps.

  1. Pick a GB plan

Choose a plan on the pricing page. The 1 GB plan at $1.50 is enough to test a few locations. — paid from a $25 minimum top-up

  2. Pay in crypto

Pay with BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, LTC or SOL. Account-number login; email is optional.

  3. Get your credentials

Credentials appear in your dashboard as soon as you buy a plan from your confirmed crypto balance.

  4. Add targeting to your username

Append segments such as -country-us-state-ny to your username. The next section explains each segment.

  5. Connect to the gateway

Point your tool at gw.americaproxies.com, port 7777 for HTTP/HTTPS or 7778 for SOCKS5. Each new connection gets an IP from the pool, usually a different one, unless you open a sticky session.

How do I target a US state, city, ZIP code or ASN?

You target a location by adding segments to your proxy username, with no separate endpoint or plan. The full AmericaProxies username format is:

USERNAME-country-{cc}-state-{state}-city-{city}-zip-{zip}-asn-{asn}-session-{id}-ttl-{minutes}

Add only the segments you need. Values are lowercase, and spaces in city names become underscores, as in city-new_york.

What does each username segment do?

SegmentWhat it setsExample
country-{cc}Two-letter country codecountry-us, country-ca
state-{state}US state, as a two-letter codestate-ny, state-tx, state-ca
city-{city}City name, spaces as underscorescity-new_york, city-los_angeles
zip-{zip}Five-digit US ZIP codezip-10001 (Chelsea, Manhattan)
asn-{asn}ISP network by its AS numberasn-7922 (Comcast), asn-20115 (Charter Spectrum)
session-{id}Any ID you choose; keeps one IPsession-job42
ttl-{minutes}Sticky-session length in minutesttl-30

Four examples:

  • USERNAME-country-us-state-ny-city-new_york — a rotating New York City IP.
  • USERNAME-country-us-zip-90028 — an IP in ZIP 90028 (Hollywood, Los Angeles).
  • USERNAME-country-us-state-tx-asn-7018 — an AT&T home-internet IP in Texas.
  • USERNAME-country-ca-city-toronto — a Toronto IP.

AS numbers come from the network's public registration. RIPEstat lists AS7922 as Comcast, AS20115 as Charter (Spectrum), AS7018 as AT&T and AS701 as Verizon Business. The ZIP code targeting guide and the ASN targeting guide list more examples.

Rotating or sticky: how long can I keep the same US IP?

AmericaProxies US residential proxies give each new connection an IP from the pool, usually a different one, or keep one IP in a sticky session of up to 30 minutes, set per session with the ttl parameter; the IP can change earlier. To get a new IP on every request, send one request per connection (turn off keep-alive).

  • Rotating (no session segment): suits public-page jobs such as SERP checks or catalog price checks, spread across many IPs.
  • Sticky (session-{id} plus ttl-{minutes}): suits multi-step flows that must stay on one IP, such as a cart-to-checkout QA test of your own store.

Example: USERNAME-country-us-state-ca-city-los_angeles-session-a1b2-ttl-30 keeps one Los Angeles IP for 30 minutes. A residential IP can still drop before the session ends if the home connection goes offline, so build retries into your code.

Which protocols and ports does the AmericaProxies gateway use?

AmericaProxies residential proxies work over HTTP, HTTPS (CONNECT) and SOCKS5 through one gateway host, gw.americaproxies.com.

  • Port 7777: HTTP and HTTPS (CONNECT), for browsers, Python requests and most scrapers.
  • Port 7778: SOCKS5, for tools that need a socket-level proxy.

The curl test below prints the IP your request leaves from. The getting-started guide adds Python and Node versions.

The getting-started guide shows the first connection.

Where can I find cheap US residential proxies?

AmericaProxies sells cheap US residential proxies from $0.52/GB on the 1 TB (1,000 GB) plan, and $0.75/GB on the 5, 10 and 50 GB plans, as of October 2026. For comparison, DataImpulse lists $1/GB (checked 2026-10-05). At AmericaProxies, state, city, ZIP and ASN targeting cost nothing extra. The US residential proxy price comparison lists low-cost US offers with their conditions.

Do I need to verify my identity to buy US residential proxies?

No. AmericaProxies, a no-KYC US residential and mobile proxy provider, asks for no ID, no selfie and no documents. Account-number login; email is optional. By contrast, Bright Data's Residential network requires company KYC for zones created after July 7, 2026. No KYC does not mean no rules: the Acceptable Use Policy applies to every account.

Which cryptocurrencies can I use to pay for residential proxies?

AmericaProxies accepts BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, LTC and SOL. USDT works on TRC-20 or ERC-20, and USDC on ERC-20.

Is there a free trial or a refund on residential plans?

No free trial — test with the 1 GB plan, paid from the minimum top-up; the part added only to reach the minimum is refundable on request within 30 days, in USDT or USDC, if unspent. It costs $1.50 and includes the same ZIP and ASN targeting as larger plans. Refund rule: Within 72 hours of purchase, a residential or rotating-mobile plan is credited back to your balance if you used less than 20% of its traffic and no more than 1 GB; a plan that does not work, and that support cannot fix within 24 hours, is credited back in full. Dedicated ports: within 24 hours of delivery (2 hours for a 1-day port), the port is credited back to your balance in full if it does not work and we cannot fix or replace it, or if it has carried less than 500 MB. A port we cannot deliver within 24 hours is credited back in full. If a port stops working later and support cannot fix it within 24 hours, the lost days are credited back. Top-ups are not paid back, except where the law requires it; the part added only to reach the minimum top-up is refundable on request within 30 days, in USDT or USDC, if unspent. The refund policy explains how to ask for one.

How do I set up a US residential proxy in my tool?

Enter gw.americaproxies.com as the proxy host, with port 7777 for HTTP/HTTPS or 7778 for SOCKS5. Then enter your username and password. Add targeting segments to the username, for example USERNAME-country-us-state-fl-city-miami for a Miami IP. The getting-started guide shows curl, Python and Node examples.

Using a residential proxy is generally legal in the US and Canada; what matters is how you use it. Site terms, anti-hacking law and anti-spam law still apply. AmericaProxies allows uses such as public-data scraping, SEO tracking, ad verification and price monitoring. It blocks banking, government and payment portals, plus SMTP ports. This is not legal advice.

How fast and reliable are AmericaProxies residential proxies?

Speed depends on the home connection behind each IP, the distance to your target and how narrow your targeting is. A ZIP or ASN filter draws on fewer IPs than a state filter, so test both. AmericaProxies does not publish a success-rate figure it has not measured. Test your own targets with the 1 GB plan before buying volume.

Should I choose residential or mobile proxies?

Choose residential proxies for location precision: state, city, ZIP or ASN, billed per GB from $0.52/GB. Choose a dedicated 4G/5G port, from $3.75/day, when one stable T-Mobile, AT&T or Verizon IP matters more than the exact place. The mobile proxies page compares both, use case by use case.

Can I use AmericaProxies residential proxies for Canadian IPs?

Yes. AmericaProxies residential proxies cover Canada with country, city and ASN targeting (city availability varies). Switch country by changing one segment, for example country-ca-city-montreal for Montreal. Other countries are available at checkout. The Canada residential proxies page covers Canadian ISPs and cities.

Does unused residential traffic expire?

No. Prepaid residential and rotating-mobile traffic never expires: unused GB stay on your account until you use them, so a 50 GB balance can serve several small projects over time. For comparison, SOAX says its sandbox and monthly credits expire after 60 days (checked 2026-10-05). A larger tier lowers the price per GB without adding a deadline to use the traffic.
